Lazy River was created to capture the calm, gentle movement of koi: the peaceful, almost hypnotic sensation of watching fish drift slowly beneath the surface. The pose focuses on that effortless fluidity.
Two different koi works were made several years apart under different names and prices. This website record refers specifically to Lazy River, the 2019 self-initiated work now held by a private client.
Made from retired tools, kitchen utensils, bicycle gears, steel mesh, sheet copper and steel. The sculpture is intended for an interior space and has been finished with clear-coat lacquer.
