Description
A workshop voucher makes a great gift for someone who enjoys making things, is interested in metal sculpture, or wants to try something different. My workshops give people the chance to come into the forge, work with reclaimed materials and see what they can make themselves.
We begin with an introduction to the equipment and safety, then get hands-on with some of the techniques I use in my sculpture, including forging, plasma cutting and welding. I’ll work alongside you, demonstrating techniques and helping with the parts that need more experience. Participants will take home their own unique piece of metal art.
For a half-day workshop, you might make a small sea creature from old cutlery. With a full day, you’ll have more time to rummage through my stock of reclaimed metal, experiment with different materials, and develop an idea of your own.
I’ll be there throughout to demonstrate the techniques, help with the more difficult parts and make sure everyone gets as much hands-on experience as possible.
Choose Your Workshop Voucher
Half Day Metal Art Workshop – £150 per person
Four hours in the forge, learning different metalworking techniques and making a small piece of reclaimed-metal art.
Full Day Metal Art Workshop – £280 per person
Eight hours in the forge, with more time to practise, explore my stock of reclaimed metal and develop your own idea. If you have a particular project in mind, please get in touch beforehand so we can discuss what is achievable.
A Few Things to Know
Each workshop is limited to two participants. Whichever workshop you choose, participants will take home a piece of metal art they have made themselves.
No previous experience is necessary, and I can adapt what we do to suit different abilities. Please contact me beforehand if you have metalworking experience or a particular project in mind. Participants must be aged 18 or over.
If you’re looking for a more ambitious project, I also offer one-to-one masterclasses lasting one to three days. Please contact me to discuss.
Location and Practical Details
Workshops take place at my forge near Henfield, Sussex, during autumn, winter and early spring, when the forge is cooler.

If you have a particular date in mind, please get in touch with me to reserve it before or immediately after buying your voucher. Otherwise, the recipient can contact me to arrange a date and discuss their experience level so I can plan the session and book them in.
Workshop dates are subject to availability, but I’ll do my best to accommodate preferred dates.
